Coming Soon to KEDJ Aerobatic Box!
In July of 2009, the International Aerobatic Club of Ohio, Chapter 34 (IAC 34) in conjunction with Midwest Corporate Air, Inc. applied for an Aerobatic Practice and Contest box that would allow for scheduled aerobatic use. At first it did not look promising that we could receive the box. However, today Midwest Corporate Air and the Columbus Flight Standards District Office is working together on the approval process!
Once approved, the box will be located approximately one mile north of the Bellefontaine Regional Airport with the southern boundary of the aerobatic box being runway 07/25.
It will be good for Bellefontaine and our community as it will become a location where aerobatic contests can be held......bringing contestants, followers and tourists to our community.
Presently it appears that we should be on track to have the box approved by the middle of October 2009. This will be a great addition to Bellefontaine Regional Airport (KEDJ).
